SURFACE COMPOSITES: A NOVEL ENGINEERING MATERIAL

  • 摘要: 介绍了一种名为表面复合材料的工程材料。其关键在于先在基底表面形成一种三维的组分和热的梯度结构,再在其上沉积薄膜。其可使两种热失配材料的应力在近表面区具有线性梯度关系;并且可使表面积增加一个数量级,从而可显著提高薄膜与基底的附着力。介绍了其原理和制备方法及其应用实例

     

    Abstract: A new engineering material named “surface composites”is introduced. The key charactercistic of the surface composites is the formation of a three dimensional (3D) composition and thermal gradient interface between the film and the substrate material. The compressive stresses near the interface are gradient over a certain thickness of the film. Additionally, the interface area can be one order of magnitude higher than that of the orginal surface. Thus, the creation of a three dimensional interface is expected to increase the adherence strength of the film to the base substantially. The mechanisms, fabrication methods and examples are introduced.
