Abstract: The vacuum sintering of Ag—MgF₂ cermet for film preparation has been studied.This paper reports the segregation of Ag constituent during the sintering process, the relation between void volume fraction, composition and sintering temperature. The fabrication condition ensuring the composition in Ag—MgF₂ cermet system was obtained.
