Abstract: The history and the developing process of the vacuum metallurgical technology are described in detail, the classification on the vacuum metallurgy is made, the common used vacuum metallurgical methods are systematically discussed, the development of the vacuum metallurgy at home and abroad is introduced, the prospect and the direction are indicated.
