EIGHT-SHOT PELLET INJECTION SYSTEM FOR HL-1M AND ITS ENGINEERING EXPERIMENT

Einght-shot pellet injection system has been experimented on HL-1M Tokamak for fueling in 1996 and eight H₂ pellets have been injected successively into plasma. This paper descriibes this system andit’s engineering experiments with liquid H₂ and liquid He, CH₄ and H₂ as pellet fuel gas respectively. Helium as propellant gas with pressure over 5MPa, the pellet velocity up to 800~1000m/s has been obtained
