EIGHT-SHOT PELLET INJECTION SYSTEM FOR HL-1M AND ITS ENGINEERING EXPERIMENT

  • Einght-shot pellet injection system has been experimented on HL-1M Tokamak for fueling in 1996 and eight H2 pellets have been injected successively into plasma. This paper descriibes this system andit’s engineering experiments with liquid H2 and liquid He, CH4 and H2 as pellet fuel gas respectively. Helium as propellant gas with pressure over 5MPa, the pellet velocity up to 800~1000m/s has been obtained
