CENTRIFUGAL PUMP CAVITATION AND ITS PREVENTION

Centrifugal pump is the important equipment in petrochemical.The problem of its cavitation is met frequently. This paper introduced the concept,classification and harm of the cavitation.To avoid the cavitation,some methods were suggested,such as increasing the suction tank elevation,reducing the flow resistance,and adding a booster pump etc.
