A METHOD OF PROLONGING LIFETIME FOR THE LUMINESCENCE GLOW DISCHARGE DEVICES AT LOW PRESSURE

The sputtering is controlled by filling an amount of mercury in luminescence glow discharge devices at low pressure. The lifetime of the devices is prolonged.The theoretical analysis and experimental results prove that the method is feasible.
