DEVELOPMENT OF 70 MW CLASS SUPERCONDUCTING GENERATORS IN JAPAN

Three sets of 70 MW superconducting generators have been developed and tested in Japan. This paper describes the present situation and results of the development and the tests of 70 MW superconducting generators.
